Tower Erection Works Commence for Amarpur-Dhungesaghu 132 kV Transmission Line Project with Traditional Ceremony
We are pleased to share a significant milestone in the progress of the Amarpur-Dhungesaghu 132 kV Transmission Line Project, an important undertaking by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) under its Transmission Directorate – Grid Development Department. On 22nd May 202], the tower erection phase was officially launched with a traditional Coconut Breaking Ceremony, symbolizing an auspicious and safe beginning to this crucial phase of work.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of the respected Director, Project Chief from NEA, along with project manager and representatives from both the client and contractor teams. The event reaffirmed our shared commitment to quality, timeliness, and national progress.
This transmission line project, being executed through EPC mode, spans challenging terrain and is designed to enhance power supply reliability in the region by connecting Amarpur to Dhungesaghu through a high-capacity 132 kV corridor. Once completed, the project will significantly contribute to strengthening Nepal’s national grid and promoting regional balance in electricity access.
Beyond the technical scope, this project holds deep socio-economic significance. It is set to transform the lives of thousands by bringing reliable electricity to underserved and remote communities. The positive impacts will be far-reaching — from improved access to education and healthcare to enabling small-scale industries, creating job opportunities, and powering overall rural development.
With the tower erection now in full swing, Cosmic Electrical and its project partners are fully mobilized and dedicated to delivering this project with excellence. We thank NEA for their trust and support and look forward to continued collaboration as we advance Nepal’s energy infrastructure and empower communities through clean, reliable electricity.
