Location: Project Sites (Remote / Hilly Terrain / Pan Nepal)

🎯 Job Purpose
To carry out precise surveying activities for transmission line projects, including tower location marking, profiling, and accurate stub setting for foundation works, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project timelines.
🔧 Key Responsibilities1. Survey & Layout Works
Conduct route alignment surveys for transmission lines as per design drawings.
Perform tower spotting and pegging using approved profiles and coordinates.
Establish and maintain benchmarks (BM) and reference points.
2. Stub Setting for Tower Foundations (Core Responsibility)
Execute accurate stub setting as per tower schedule, foundation drawings, and survey coordinates.
Ensure correct:
Centerline alignment
Orientation (face direction of tower)
Stub spacing and geometry
Elevation levels (RL control)
Verify stub placement before concreting and ensure compliance with tolerances.
Coordinate with the construction team during excavation and foundation casting.
Maintain records of stub setting data, deviations, and corrections.
3. Survey Data Management
Record and maintain all survey data, field books, and reports.
Prepare as-built survey reports for completed foundations.
Ensure proper documentation for client verification and billing.
4. Equipment Handling
Operate and maintain survey instruments such as:
Total Station
GPS/GNSS
Auto Level
Ensure calibration and proper handling of equipment.
5. Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with:
Design team (for drawings and clarifications)
Site engineers (for execution alignment)
QA/QC team (for quality compliance)
Ensure adherence to:
Project specifications
Safety standards
Client requirements (NEA / RPGCL / others)
📊 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy of stub setting (within permissible tolerance)
Zero rework due to survey errors
Timely completion of survey activities
Quality of survey documentation and reports
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Geomatics / Surveying
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transmission line or infrastructure projects
Proven experience in tower stub setting and foundation layout
🧠 Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of surveying principles and transmission line profiles
Ability to read and interpret:
Tower schedule
Foundation drawings
Route profiles
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD / Survey software
MS Excel for data recording
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in remote and challenging terrains

Employment Type: Full-time, Training/Probation Period (6–12 months)
Role Overview
This role is designed to provide hands-on training and exposure to fresh engineering graduates in the field of power Transmission Line (TL) and Distribution Line (DL) EPC projects. Trainee Engineers will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to learn project execution, site supervision, design, and quality management. The initiative aims to empower and prepare the next generation of engineers to take on leadership roles in Nepal’s power and infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
For Electrical Trainee Engineers:
•Assist in surveying, route selection, and design review of TL/DL projects.
•Support in supervision of tower erection, stringing, and substation installation.
•Monitor site activities under guidance, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.
•Learn basics of testing, commissioning, and safety procedures.
•Support in preparation of daily/weekly progress reports.
For Civil Trainee Engineers:
•Assist in foundation works, excavation, concreting, and tower erections.
•Support site surveys, soil testing, and leveling works.
•Observe and learn quality assurance for civil construction materials and works.
•Support project documentation (drawings, BOQ, site records).
•Coordinate with site supervisors for construction progress and HSE compliance.
For Both (General Exposure):
•Participate in safety toolbox talks and EHS practices.
•Learn project planning, scheduling, and reporting tools.
•Develop teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills through practical exposure.
•Engage in cross-functional learning between civil and electrical works.
Qualifications & Skills
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (Fresh graduates preferred).
•Strong academic background with interest in power transmission, distribution, and infrastructure.
•Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office; familiarity with ETAP/PLS-CADD (for Electrical) or STAAD/Survey tools (for Civil) will be an advantage.
•Good communication, willingness to learn, adaptability to remote site conditions.
•NEC (Nepal Engineering Council) Registration preferred or in process.
